Thank you all who prayed for safe travels yesterday. It was amazing to see clouds all around us at various parts of the drive, but they were continually parted in front of my path. God is good. Thank you!
Mom is doing great right now. We had wonderful neighbors come and help get her settled into her room and help get the oxygen set up. I am amazed at how many are reaching out to help right now. We feel so carried by that. Today we will be finding our routines here and focus on health and recovery.
Lee got the update from Dad's nurse yesterday. He is still on high-flow oxygen and rotating prone, sitting, and resting. The nurse told Lee he's the best he's seen him so far. That is extremely encouraging! Please continue to pray for healing in his lungs, for the pneumonia and any virus present to be rid from his body, and for strength for recovery. Please pray that he does NOT feel alone in this, and for his doctors' and nurses' wisdom and care over him.
I talked to Lee this morning again, and we are praying Psalm 91 continually throughout this season.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress, My God, in Whom I will trust!'" Amen.
We need not fear the shadows. They may be only His wings covering us. Lord, come and have mercy.
Lord, come and have mercy. Thank you for your life sustaining prayers, everyone.
ReplyDeletePlease pass along to both of them that we are delighted they are making progress. You all are in our best thoughts and prayers. Spring will be here before you know it and the trails will be waiting to be ridden.
ReplyDeleteColleen Pinner here, thank you for the update on your mom and dad. Praying continually for recovery and freedom from any side effects that want to linger. Praying also that all home care will be without struggle. These lines you wrote at the end resounded within me: "We need not fear the shadows. They may be only His wings covering us."
