With great thanks...

 Dear friends,

Thank you for the outpouring of love, prayer, gifts, and comforting words to my family. We are deeply touched and grateful for such tender care toward us through this very difficult loss. Dad was one in a million; we can see how many of you share this loss with us. Thank you.

In light of Dad's passing due to COVID-19 and Mom's continued need for recovery, we cannot in good conscience have a large gathering for a memorial service. Instead, we will be having a smaller family gathering at a later date in Dad's hometown of Sarasota, FL.

We are working on putting together a recorded tribute to honor Dad and his tremendous impact on so many lives that can be accessed online for any of you who would like to see it. I will post that information here when we have further details.

Dad always had such a heart for his fire departments and communities in Sarasota and Chandler. We have discussed ways to support organizations that were near to his heart to honor him and our family in lieu of sending flowers. Please consider the following organizations:

The 100 Club of Arizona provides financial assistance to families of first responders who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty: https://www.100club.org/donate/

St. Aidan's Anglican Church is Lee's parish in Nicholasville, KY. They support the local community through the Jessamine County food pantry and the Jessamine County Homeless Coalition: https://jessamineanglicans.org/what-we-do/give-online/

Arizona Fire Service Pipe Band is very special to our family as Dad was involved as a tenor drummer. They play throughout the state for various services and special events in support of our first responders. https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-lieu-of-flowers-for-rob-mcleod?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

Once again, I want to thank each of you personally for praying with us and lifting up my entire family throughout the last month. We have truly felt carried by the comfort and strength of all of your prayers, kind words, and gestures toward us.

With much love and gratitude,

Katy
