Thank you for all of your continued prayers for Dad and for all of us this week. We can't describe how deeply we feel your love and prayers. I have realized that people who don't even know Dad are praying for his healing. We are humbled and blessed beyond words. Thank you.

Mom continues to gain strength every day. Tomorrow she is able to come out of her quarantine. I think she will be bouncing back in no time, and I'll be giving her some farm chores to do. ;) We are so thankful for her healing and recovery. Please pray for her comfort as she is missing Dad so very much. As we all are.

We have been told many times that Dad's healing is going to be a long haul process. If this were a marathon, we are in mile 2. We receive daily updates on Dad and are aware that doctors and nurses are intricately making adjustments to oxygen levels, medications, positioning, and monitoring how his body responds. I compare it to a musician tuning an instrument. There are many adjustments to be made, and sometimes those adjustments must go one direction and then back another before they are perfectly in tune. Ultimately, this all takes time. Mom and I said today that it feels like we are in a long waiting room. So we wait and pray.

Please continue to pray for continued healing for Dad's lungs. Today there was slight improvement in his chest x-ray. We are praying that that continues to be the case.

Please pray that his body responds well as they adjust various levels of support and try to wean that off slowly in the days and weeks to come. Please pray that all of his other organs and systems respond well and remain stable.

Please pray for all the ICU staff at the hospital. Pray for their wisdom and care over my Dad. We are so very thankful for all they are doing.

Thank you for all your encouragement and care about my dad, my family, and all of our well being. Again, we are overwhelmed at your love for us through this.

  2. I am so grateful Eula is doing so much better and I pray every day for Rob's revovery, understanding it is going to be a long road. This fight impacts so many -- the patient, the patient's family, the medical professionals caring for them and even their own families. So, I pray for all who are impacted.
