Thursday, February 4 Prayer Needs
Dad is showing significant improvement in his oxygenation. They drastically reduced his ventilator support and he is breathing on his own with ventilator support while maintaining high oxygen saturations. This is very encouraging because it means his lungs are healing, and he is nearing the point where he could be off the ventilator. These have all been huge prayer requests that we are seeing answered!
The next step we need prayer for is for him to wake up. He has been on heavy sedatives for nearly two weeks and they have been slowly weaning him off and testing his neurological function. He is now off all sedatives and we need him to wake up and start following simple commands before they can extubate him.
Please pray that the sedatives clear out of his body. Please pray that he has a regaining of all neurological function. Please continue to pray that the rest of his systems remain strong and stable. We need him to wake up now.
We are still so very thankful that so many are praying with us and for Dad. We feel that, and we can never express our gratitude fully. Thank you.
We are going to "come fearlessly, confidently and boldly to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need--appropriate help, well-timed help, coming just when we need it." Hebrews 4:16, amplified version
We have been praying for God's perfect timing. Wouldn't it be something if that "perfect timing" means that Dad gets to watch his Tampa Bay Buccaneers play in the Super Bowl this weekend? Will you pray with us?
Praying harder than ever. I will even root with him for his team!!!! What a miracle that will be. God grant Rob this miracle! Amen!!
ReplyDeleteSuch encouraging news! Jesus please bring continued healing to our brother! May the extubation process go smoothly! It would be so cool for him to celebrate with his team on Sunday too! We love him so so much!! ππΌππΌ❤️
ReplyDeletePraying the Bucks will get their cheerleader! So glad to hear of the progress. I will be praying repeatedly throughout the day for your specific requests and looking forward to hearing how God answers them.
ReplyDeletePraying fervently and in agreement!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update. We will pray earnestly for Rob!
ReplyDeleteRejoicing for answered prayer!! Sending many thoughts, much love and continued prayers to all your dear family. Our hearts are with you. ❤️
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update katie! Sending prayers for you all! and all my love
ReplyDeleteKatie & Eula, this is Colleen Pinner (aka Buttercup Aprons :) ) Such good news! Continuing to pray. Would love to speak great words of wisdom, but what comes to mind is when Moses had to keep his hands lifted up so the battle could be won and they became tired, 2 came and stood on each side and held up his arms for him (Ex. 17). To me that's a great picture of the body holding your arms up by prayer. Praying, praying, praying.
ReplyDeleteOur prayers are with you. So glad to read of his progress.
ReplyDeleteWould be so great to watch the game together. We are huge Chiefs fans, however, and my cousin from Kansas is on her way here.
The Fay family is praying for you. We love you!
ReplyDeleteBut for you that honor my name, victory will shine like the sun with healing in its rays, and you will jump around like calves at play.
ReplyDeleteMalachi 4:2
I pray that Rob is awake to watch the game Sunday and even if his body is not able to jump, his heart and mind are! π
You all continue to be in my prayers. Just now more specifically. Love you both. Love, Meri
